18 Months

Weight: According to the doctor's she is 20lbs! I am not sure on the ounces because they measured her in kilograms and just said 20 when we asked about the conversion.

Height: She is about 31 inches! And yes she still screams the entire time at the doctors...fun times.

Nicknames: Mostly pumpkin, puppet, stink butt, baby girl...

Eating: This girl would always be eating if you would let her.  Her absolute favorite things are carbs and fruit.  She lives for her morning toast and her afternoon snack of some kind of fruit.  She also will not leave grandma's without a Lara Bar "treat" or leave her highchair at dinnertime without frozen blueberries for dessert.  She has gotten a little more picky over the last few months, but overall she will eat pretty much anything.  She eats breakfast, two mini lunches (before and after nap), an afternoon snack and then dinner.  Unless she is at grandma's and then she eats all of the time....

Sleeping: Oh sleep...this child seriously punked us when she was such a great sleeper when she was a baby.  Every since we took away the swaddle/rock n' play (ummm a year ago?!!), it has been one thing after another.  She is either teething, sick etc.... We did let her cry a few times, but she still always ended up in our bed.  At this point, we just put her down in our bed and she sleeps with us all night.  Despite some kicks, and an occasional rough night, I think we all are getting the most sleep this way #pushovers.  She goes down every night between 8:30-9:00pm.  She wakes up every morning between 7-9am (I'm serious....).  Depends on the plans we have for the day (she loves to mess with those), but she usually averages waking up about 8am.  We transitioned officially to one nap about a month or so ago....she goes down between noon-1pm.  She sleeps anywhere from one-three hours.  Usually it's just under two hours depending on the day.

Diapers/Clothes: Size 3 diapers and shoes.  Clothing is 9 and 12 month.  I have noticed the 9 month is getting really small though, but a lot of the 12 month is too big.  It is a good thing she has a HUGE selection of clothes!

Social: Sadie is pretty outgoing and chatty, but she can also be really shy.  I would love to sign her up for some classes, but with the baby coming, I'm going to wait and see how it goes.  The pressure though, I swear kids her age are in all sorts of activities!

At 18 months Sadie....
-had her first "broken" bone/first cast thanks to a crazy boy at Sea World
-HATES the doctors, getting x-rays or being touched by anyone who is employed by Kaiser (I don't really blame her though!)
-is a parrot! She loves to repeat what you say and do, although most of the time you can't make out what she is saying...
-can say with basic human understanding "please" (pppp-wahhh, the wahhh is more pronounced depending on how bad she wants something), "hi", "bye"(with a southern twist!), "mama", "baby", "ball", "blueberries", (all of the last three sound pretty much the same), "grandma", "sit" (to the dog), "go, go, go", "yes", "done", "plubby", "potty", "trash" and more!
-dances ALL the time and expects other people to dance too
-loves Frozen, her play kitchen songs, her play lamp songs, and a whole lot of country!
-is able to entertain herself for a somewhat extended amount of time depending on her mood...
-loves pushing her baby stroller, she puts all sorts of weird things in there!
-gets super excited when you ask her if she wants to do something and she says "ooooh"
-loves to tell people (including herself) "mo, mo, mo" (no) and shake her finger
-says lots of animal noises like "meow", "moo", "grrr", "quack", "caw".  She also does "vroom" noises for cars, motorcycles and planes.
-loves to "reorganize" the house constantly, especially the dishwasher....
-enjoys helping with anything! Loves to unload the silverware from the dishwasher, put clothes in the dryer, or get things that you ask for.
-still loves being read to.  She will pick up as many books as she can carry and bring them to you to read.
-loves to be chased by daddy!
-is very stubborn...not really interested in learning shapes or things of that nature...she prefers trying to shove the square in the circle hole :)
-likes loud noises IF you count to three with her (she only can do the "one" at this point)
-gets really frustrated when things don't behave the way she wants (wonder where she gets that from??)
-loves to pull up my shirt and kiss the baby
-makes the "shhh" sound when someone is sleeping or any time she sees a baby
-plays peekaboo with the drapes and blankets over and over and over again
-still gives lots of kisses, blows lots of kisses and gives THE best hugs!
-knows hot and cold
-enjoys being outside and going for walks
-likes to go get the mail with daddy and bring in the trash cans
-has 11 teeth!
-claps whenever anyone else claps
-loves to carry things around with her like a purse...so girly this one!
-has full on conversations with the cell phone to her ear...or something posing as a phone.  She laughs and talks total gibberish!
-can point to her nose, eyes, mouth, toes, hair, head, tummy, hands and feet.  Still working on ears!
-is seriously always smiling!!

33-36 WEEKS

*** I wanted to do a post for 33 weeks, although it made me a tad nervous.  That clearly didn't happen anyways, but I did take a picture at 34 weeks, and now here I am at 36 weeks with no picture but an update! #secondkid

Best Moment: We had what I *think* will be our last ultrasound.  It was definitely our last time with our high risk doctor, she is signing off and going out of town until your due date.  It is always nice to check on you, but to be honest I couldn't really make out much in the ultrasound, you are so big now!!

Baby News: You are weighing in at just about 6 lbs.(!!) which still puts you right about the 64th percentile.

Symptoms: Look up pregnancy symptoms and just figure I have that.  This is my first time being nine months pregnant and I can't say I am a huge fan.

Weight: I almost deleted this question (thank you hormones).  I won't delete it, but I am not answering this!

Movement: Yep! It is super uncomfortable since she is still breech.  I get a lot of painful kicks down low and a lot of head in my ribs.  Super fun.

Sleep: Sleeping is still average.  I have had a few pretty good nights since I brought back the body pillow.  I didn't think it would help/work with a toddler lying next to me, but I love it! Last night was awful though with pregnancy insomnia, let's not do that again!

Cravings/aversions/eating: Another category I would prefer to delete....  Obviously I am still craving my ice water, but now that I am getting to the end, my cravings are getting tough.  I would literally kill for some fro-yo, pancakes and pretty much anything else that I am not
allowed to have.  Sad face :(((((

Workouts: Pretty much everything feels like a workout at this point.  By the time I clean up the house and maybe take a walk, I can barely make it until evening when I am relieved of my duties by the hubster.

Clothes: Still a mixture of regular and maternity.  My pants (of course that is a loose term) are regular, unless I am wearing jeans and then it is maternity all the way.  Shirts are mainly maternity.  I am really running out of options, but considering I have only 3 weeks left I am trying to make due.

Other News: The big news this week is I will be having a scheduled c-section as long as baby cooperates.  She is still breech and they are pretty positive she is staying put.  I am so anxious about a c-section.  Really labor is just making me anxious in general.  When your water breaks seven weeks early, you kind of don't get to experience this whole waiting/anticipation thing.  I can't say I am a fan.  It is crazy to think that I am 3 weeks past when Sadie arrived and in 3 weeks (or less) Sadie will be a big sister!

27-30 WEEKS

this actually a little closer to 31 weeks, but 30 weeks is just too exciting not to share

Best Moment: In the past 4 weeks we have had two doctors appointments.  The first one was not so much fun.  Sadie had to join me even though my mom tried to help (we waited almost an hour to see the doctor!).  I had to get my tDap (ouch!) and Sadie was not a huge fan of the heartbeat monitor.  She screamed for me the entire time and they couldn't find the heartbeat.  They were about to pull out the ultrasound, but luckily they found it right before.  The second appointment was much better! Everything looked great and baby girl looked so sweet!

Baby News: You are weighing in at 3lbs 10 oz. which puts you in the 64th percentile.  Just a little bigger than your sister was!

Symptoms: Oh boy where to start....definitely emotional (such a nice way to put it right?!).  Lots and lots of heartburn.  I also came down with the stomach flu...not exactly a symptom, but it was brutal.  Baby girl is still breech so I feel like my lungs are a pillow and my ummm woman parts are a punching (kicking??) bag.  I also had my first panic/anxiety attack.  Not so much fun.  Now I am really careful about not letting myself get too warm since that seems to be the main trigger (thank you magnesium, I hate you!).  Sorry hubby for freezing you out! Never thought that day would come :)  And finally I definitely have contractions every day.  They are painless and I don't have more than four in an hour so the doctors aren't worried.  I guess my uterus is just exercising!

Weight: I'm right around 134 which is about 5lbs more than I was with Sadie at this point, but I also started about 5lbs bigger before I got pregnant.

Movement: Yes! I mostly feel her at night since the days are so busy.  Sometimes it is actually really painful.  I will yell out and make the hubster jump, sorry :)

Sleep: Sleeping is still average.

Cravings/aversions/eating: Oh diabetes, we meet again.  I failed my one hour test and decided to skip the three hour test.  I had a lot of supplies left since Sadie was so early, but realized that most of it was expired.  So anyways I am back to the diet and poking my finger (ugh!!). I have been a little more experimental this time around.  I am trying to just eat my normal stuff for the most part and my numbers have been fine so far...knock on wood.

Workouts: Walks to the park and chasing a toddler around including up and down the stairs all day long...

Clothes: Still a mixture of regular and maternity.  My regular shirts may or may not be showing my tummy now.  And clothes shopping should be outlawed for pregnant women.  I might have gotten stuck in a few dresses while shopping for a maternity picture dress :(

Other News: Umm we are quickly approaching the time period when Sadie decided to enter the world.    To think we could have a baby in about 3 weeks is terrifying! Luckily, we got our maternity pictures out of the way without my water breaking :)  Now if we can make it to our Baby-Q that would be perfect!

26 WEEKS

Best Moment: We had another appointment with our specialist this week.  You were so adorable! You were moving your mouth so we thought you might be trying to talk to us, but it turns out you were just chewing on the umbilical cord...maybe your teething in utero?!! That would be awesome :)

Baby News: You are weighing in at a little over two pounds (65th percentile)! Your eyes have completely formed and soon you will start blinking with those cute little eyelashes.  You can respond to light, noise and even move to the music (hopefully you like to dance as much as your sister)!

Symptoms: We drove to Arizona last weekend and ten plus hours in the car is just not good for a pregnant lady's back.  Heartburn of course and maybe some irritability...

Weight: I gained a little less than two more pounds in the last two weeks!

Movement: Definitely!  It is fun to watch it from the outside too, but still no clear body parts just little twitches almost.

Sleep: Sleeping is average.  I don't think I will ever enjoy sleeping on my sides.  I have started dreaming about my shoulders aching and then wake up to actual aching shoulders.  Plus heartburn, peeing, insomnia...thank goodness for my naps with Sadie.  Although I know I will have to wean her off that soon :(

Cravings/aversions/eating: I feel like my appetite is still semi-normal.  No real cravings or aversions, but I still enjoy dessert.

Workouts: Walks to the park and chasing a toddler around including up and down the stairs all day long...

Clothes: Still a mixture of regular and maternity.  My selection of normal shirts that fit are getting smaller though.

Other News: Sadie's big girl room is starting to come together.  I still feel we have like one million things to do and I feel like the clock is really ticking! We are ordering invitations for the Baby-Q we will be having to celebrate this sweet girl.

12-15 MONTHS

**I waited to post this update because it had some important information that was not yet released and then we got busy and now I am covering three months in one post, oops :)

Weight: According to the doctor's she is still right about 17 lbs and 2 ounces (still pretty close to that at 15 months since she is always moving!)

Height: She screamed the entire time at the doctor's so they measured her twice...she is about 28 inches (this is probably pretty close too, but maybe another inch?)

Nicknames: Mostly pumpkin and puppet (by daddy) (same!)

Eating: Well we got some unexpected news this month....in fact Sadie was the first one to get suspicious.  She started acting really fussy while nursing and she even bit me a couple of times which is very unlike her.  Well it turns out, she knew she was sharing her milk with her future sibling and she wasn't happy about it :)  So per doctor's orders, we started weaning her quickly.  It actually went much better than I thought it would, especially since I was not planning to wean her any time soon.  Dropping the night feedings were toughest, but within just a few days, we were down to just one early morning feeding.  That feeding is still going on, but hopefully we can get rid of that one soon. She has taken my frozen milk in her sippy cup like a champ so we haven't started actual milk yet, but my freezer stash is dwindling quickly. Now Sadie pretty much eats anything and everything you give her.  So far she has had (this month in italics): avocado, sweet potato, green beans, squash, pears, carrots, cucumber, apple, bananas, nectarines, watermelon, blueberries, oatmealcelery, peas, bell pepper, broccoli, chicken, brown rice, plums, mango, greek yogurt, figs, apricots, plumcots, artichoke, and a small taste of my banana slurpee on 7-11, pumpkin, toast, ground beef, string cheese, spaghetti noodles, steak, hmmm pretty much everything we eat now....and ummm this girl puts it away! She loves her food! (She eats so much! She gets picky occasionally, especially when she would rather have what is on your plate, but overall a great eater.)

Sleeping: Now that I am not nursing Sadie, she is sleeping all night long! What?!! Seriously! Every once in awhile she will have an off night and there were a couple of rough nights when she really wanted to nurse, but for the most part we have been living in dream land.  She goes down at about 9pm, a little later than before, but she actually does much better now.  She sleeps until about 5-7am and then she will nurse (hopefully soon this will be gone too!).  She will usually go back to asleep until about 7:30 or 8am.  Naps are still hit or miss, but now that we are sleeping at night, I don't even care :) (Sleep has been all over the place.  She has gotten almost five teeth since her first birthday!! She also had two colds.  She sleeps great most nights, just in our bed...)

Diapers/Clothes: Size 3 diapers.  Clothing is mostly 9 month, with some 6 month mixed in. <-----same! (same!)

Social: Daddy went back to work and mommy got hit with morning sickness, so we haven't been on quite as many adventures lately.  Sadie can now wave and clap though! She also took her first steps this month....to a boy of course! (see list below!)

At 15 months Sadie is....
-full on walking/runnning, she never even crawls anymore :(
-saying "kitty", "mama", "dada", some form of dog... and "bubbles"
-dancing and loving music (favorite songs are Frozen and the new Brad Paisley album)
-pointing at everything
-pulling things out of everything
-eating a horse...literally, ok not literally, but this girl puts food away
-loving disciplining the dogs :)
-high-fiveing
-clapping
-waving
-saying "meow"and "moo".  She does this for any animal that she sees....
-able to find airplanes in the sky when she hears them
-helping to unload the dishwasher #gamechanger
-going up and down stairs and steps like a pro
-loving picking out her favorite books, carrying them to you and sitting on your lap to read them
-able to follow other simple commands (get mommy a diaper, hand that to daddy,
-able to throw things away in the trash and "no")
-kicking soccer balls
-hitting balls with her clubs, although she prefers carrying her golf bag around with her wherever she goes
-playing hide and seek
-loving picking out her own outfits, you better not forget shoes or a bow or she will let you know!
-giving kisses and blowing kisses
-able to recognize what "hot" means....she blows into her hands
-loving hanging out with older kids, she wants to be big so bad
-fake coughing and fake laughing when other people are laughing
-loving going to a little indoor play place by our house.  She runs around with the biggest smile on her face the entire time we are there.
-able to point to her nose, eyes, mouth and toes most of the time when asked :)

22 WEEKS

Best Moment: I got to see you for a few seconds this week during my cervical check.  We listened and measured your heartbeat.  My cervix is still measuring how it should, so that is good!

Baby News: You are starting to look like a mini newborn! You have lips, eyelids, eyebrows and you are even forming tiny tooth buds under your gums (after going through this teething business with your sister, I hope all your teeth come in before you're born!).  You are so close to being the length of a ruler and weighing one pound!

Symptoms: The acid reflux/heartburn has started.  Ugh it isn't too bad yet, mostly just annoying, but I am worried that it is already here.  I have started having some lower back pain, I think from laying in weird positions.  Also, major insomnia right now.  I don't know if that is a baby thing, a 3 people + cat in a queen bed thing, or too many naps during the week, but it sucks.  The other day I literally just laid in bed for like 2 straight hours, it was brutal!

Weight: According to the doctor this week, I have gained about 2 pounds in the last two weeks.  Yikes!

Movement: Yes! I really only notice when I am laying down or sitting still....which is not very often with a one year old.

Sleep: I guess I pretty much covered this earlier....

Cravings/aversions/eating: Still need my ice water! Nothing really exciting in this category, maybe baby #2 is going to be more easy going :)

Workouts: Trying to sneak in walks to the park in between the rain storms we have been having.  Also, I did quite a bit of cleaning to get ready for a family visit from the in-laws.

Clothes: I must admit that I have been dressing pretty awful.  I guess you could say I have been going for comfort? Lots of hoodies and stretchy pants.  It is so much easier to hide you are pregnant in the winter.  The problem is, I am not really trying to hide it and I just feel fat.

Other News: It is Christmas this week!!!! I have never been pregnant on Christmas before, so I am excited to celebrate with the family.

20 WEEKS

Best Moment: We had our first appointment with the high-risk doctor this week.  We just love her (same one we had with Sadie)! We had a full anatomy scan including an "echo" on your sweet little heart.  You are still a girl (sorry daddy!) and the ultrasound tech said you were so cooperative and photogenic...very unlike your sister :)

Baby News: You are weighing in at about 13 ounces according to the doc and your bone marrow is developing enough to contribute to blood cell formation.  Your digestive system is able to absorb water and small amounts of sugar.  You are also growing eyebrows, fingernails and eyelashes.

Symptoms: My morning sickness is pretty much gone.  Yay! I still have many days with an awful taste in my mouth, but overall so much better than before! Also feeling tired, but I'm not sure who to blame that one on...And I've been a bit hormonal lately...I may or may not have cried over ordering Christmas cards.

Weight: According to the doctor this week, I have gained about 10 lbs. I think.  I keep forgetting what I am considering my starting weight.

Movement: Yes! I really only notice when I am laying down or sitting still....which is not very often with a one year old.

Sleep: Sleep has been rough for our household.  Sadie got a cold, then we both got it and then Sadie got it again....it's been a long couple of weeks.  I can get pretty comfortable now with a pillow in between my legs, but I am often pushed to the very edge of the bed with a cat sometimes nestled in there....

Cravings/aversions/eating: Still need my ice water! Other than that I feel like I am relatively normal this time around.  Sweets have been extra appealing, but it doesn't feel quite as out of the ordinary since I craved sweets majorly while nursing.

Workouts: Not much lately since we have all been down for the count :(

Clothes: Still just working with what I got :)  I have busted out my maternity jeans a few times and switched over to a few regular t-shirts that I stretched out with Sadie.

Other News: Our first appointment with the specialist went well.  All the organs and bones looked great.  She even has all three vessels in her umbilical cord! Of course she couldn't let her sister have all the fun...we did find out that my placenta is a little too low.  I was put on pelvic rest and will have to go see the doctor every two weeks to check up on everything.
