Three Months Old

Weight: Pretty sure she is pushing ten pounds…which means she is double digits AND double her birth weight , yay!

Height: I am guessing at least 21 inches, but no doctor's appointment this month so it is just based off home measurement :)

Nicknames: Sadie babe, Sadie Baby, Sade, Peanut, Pooper, Stinker, Sweet Girl, Terk, Roczen, Pistachio, Sadie Bear

Eating: Sadie is still a great eater.  She is still eating for about 20-30 minutes every 2-3 hours during the day.  We are still using the shield, but we will probably try and wean her in the next few weeks.

Sleeping: Sadie is not a fan of sleeping! Well mostly just naps.  She sleeps great at night.  We usually give her a bath and a bottle around 9:30-10:30pm.  After that she sleeps until about 4:30-6am.  I try and hold her off until at least 5:30am when daddy gets up.  Sometimes she cooperates, and sometimes she doesn't :) After she eats, I swaddle her back up and she sleeps until about 8-9:30am.  Napping is no fun though! She likes to be held and even then it is almost impossible to keep her asleep for more than 30 minutes.  It is one of the most frustrating parenting problems we have had so far.  We do feel very blessed that she gives us some relief at night though.

Diapers: She is officially in size one! Still loving Pampers, but we haven't had to actually buy diapers yet so I'm sure those aren't the cheapest.  We may have to try other brands when we run out.

Social: Sadie celebrated her first Thanksgiving and started smiling like crazy! She smiles all the time now and we love it!

Likes: She still loves breastfeeding.  She still loves to sleep on Mommy and Daddy's chest. She also likes to suck on her fingers. She loves looking at the blinds.  She enjoys car rides, but not red lights (smart girl!).  She likes the Ergo and she loves the bath !  She also loves to have her head rubbed and she likes to be constantly moving.  She loves to look around and move, move, move! Do not try and sit or stay in one place when you are holding her :)

Dislikes: She still DOES NOT like waiting for food. When she is ready to eat, she still makes it loud and clear. She doesn't like to get out of the bath. She screams her head off! She also still does not like to be burped or stopped at red lights.  She doesn't mind having her diaper changed as much because she really likes her changing table now.

Mommy: It has been a tough month for mommy.  I was still having some postpartum bleeding.  When I spoke to a nurse from my doctor's office she told me I was probably pregnant (what?!) and needed to wait two weeks to take a test.  I shouldn't have listened, but I did and finally went to see my doctor 3 weeks later. After an ultrasound showed some leftover tissue, my doctor scheduled a d&c.  I went in for surgery on her three month birthday.  The procedure went well, but they discovered I have a uterine septum.  Basically I have a wall in my uterus that was supposed to dissolve when I was a baby.  This wall causes infertility, miscarriages and preterm labor (that explains it!).  It was a huge blessing that I had this surgery because otherwise it might have never been discovered.  The doctor said that Sadie must have settled in the perfect spot, our little miracle! I will now have to have another surgery to remove the wall if we want to have more babies.

Daddy: We are so lucky to have our daddy! He has taken such good care of us and Sadie loves giving him big smiles!

Furbabies: Chesney loves giving Sadie lots of kisses! Dunphy loves Sadie's things….

What we are looking forward to:  Sadie's first Christmas!!!! We are taking a two week vacation to Orlando, wish us luck :)
